i’ve been going to this place for a while now. usually for dinner because it is adorable, delicious and reasonably priced. today was the first time i’ve eaten lunch at cubana cafe and i was pretty much delighted that they serve breakfast late. not to mention they have a pretty legit selection of yummy sounding sandwiches (including the classic cuban) and quesadillas all under $10.
this is a perfect lunch date spot or a place to tuck away while it’s cloudy outside with a book.
for the record: i was on a serious hunt for eggs this afternoon (i tried cafe cafe first but they stop serving eggs at noon - honestly, i arrived there at 12:01 and the guy behind the counter was not having my breakfast order) and stopped along the way to several other places that serve eggs (all mostly for over $10 - including the cupping room cafe). cafe cubana not only offered eggs but ALL of the egg dishes on the menu clock in under $10.
oh my god and the green + red sauce on the table are the bees knees kids. bees. knees. you heard it here first.
